Correction Policy

How to report incorrect, outdated, incomplete or misleading information on ApprenticeshipInternship.in, and how our editorial team reviews and corrects it.

ApprenticeshipInternship.in makes reasonable efforts to publish accurate and useful information related to apprenticeships, internships, government schemes, education, career opportunities, application procedures, official notifications and candidate resources.

Information related to recruitment, schemes and applications can change frequently, and despite reasonable editorial checks, occasional errors may still occur. This page explains how you can report such errors, and how we review and correct them.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

As part of our editorial process, we aim to:

  • Provide accurate and clear information
  • Use reliable sources for research
  • Prefer official sources wherever available
  • Update information when important changes occur
  • Correct verified errors once identified
  • Avoid intentionally misleading or exaggerated information

While we work towards these standards, we do not claim that this website is entirely free of errors. This is precisely why a clear correction process is important, and why reader reports are genuinely valuable to us.

What Can Be Reported?

You can report any of the following types of issues on any page or article.

Incorrect dates

Incorrect eligibility

Incorrect qualification

Incorrect age information

Incorrect stipend information

Incorrect application fee

Incorrect vacancy/seat numbers

Incorrect selection process

Incorrect application instructions

Broken application links

Outdated official links

Incorrect organisation details

Outdated information

Missing important information

Typographical errors

Misleading information

Incorrect government scheme details

Please note the distinction between a factual error and a difference of opinion. A factual error is a detail that does not match the official notification or source – for example, a wrong date or a wrong eligibility criterion. A difference of opinion, such as disagreeing with how we have summarised or worded something, is treated separately from a correction request and may not always result in a change.

What Information Should Be Included?

To help us review and verify your report quickly, please include as much of the following as possible:

✓

Article/page URL

✓

Incorrect text/details

✓

Suggested correction

✓

Official notification/source

✓

Screenshot, where useful

✓

Relevant date or notification number, where available

Providing an official source generally helps our editorial team verify and process the correction faster.

Verification Process

Once a correction request is received, our general editorial review process is as follows:

  1. Correction request received
  2. Information reviewed by the editorial team
  3. Relevant source checked
  4. Official notification/source compared, where available
  5. Correction accepted, rejected, or clarification requested from the reader
  6. Page updated once the correction is verified

We do not guarantee a fixed response or turnaround time for every request, as verification time can vary depending on the nature of the correction and availability of a reliable source.

Official Sources

For recruitment, apprenticeship, internship and government-scheme information, we prefer verifying against official sources such as:

Apprenticeship Indiaapprenticeshipindia.gov.in
AICTE Internship Portalinternship.aicte-india.org
Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurshipmsde.gov.in
Ministry of Educationeducation.gov.in
National Career Servicencs.gov.in
PM Internship Schemepminternship.mca.gov.in
Ministry of Corporate Affairsmca.gov.in

Priority Corrections

Corrections involving important application information may be reviewed with higher priority, particularly when they relate to:

  • Application deadline
  • Eligibility
  • Qualification
  • Application URL
  • Official notification
  • Application fee
  • Stipend
  • Selection process
  • Vacancy number

Even for these categories, we are not able to promise a specific correction time, as verification against an official source still needs to take place first.

Corrections vs Updates

We find it useful to distinguish between a correction and an update:

Correction

Information previously published on our website was factually incorrect at the time and needs to be fixed.

Update

New official information has become available, or an existing detail has genuinely changed since we published it.

For example: if an application deadline changes because of a new official notice, this is generally treated as an update. If a deadline was wrongly stated on our page to begin with, this is treated as a correction.

Minor Typographical Errors

Minor spelling, formatting or grammatical errors may be corrected directly without a separate public notice, since they do not affect the factual accuracy of the information.

Important factual corrections – such as those affecting eligibility, dates, links or stipend – are reflected on the page itself once they have been verified.

Major Corrections

Significant corrections may include:

  • Correcting eligibility
  • Correcting dates
  • Correcting application links
  • Correcting stipend information
  • Correcting vacancy information
  • Correcting selection details

Where appropriate, the article’s update information or “Last Updated” date may reflect that a correction has been made. We do not fabricate a correction history for pages where no correction has actually taken place.

Source-Based Corrections

If a reader shares an official notification or government source that contradicts information published on our website, our editorial team will review the published information against that source.

In general, the latest applicable official notification should be treated as the authoritative source for application-specific details such as dates, eligibility and procedure.

Third-Party Information

Some articles may reference third-party sources in addition to official ones. For important recruitment or scheme-related information, we prefer verification against official sources wherever possible.

This website does not guarantee the accuracy of information published on external, third-party websites that we may link to or reference.

User Suggestions

Readers are welcome to suggest improvements or additional information for any page. However, all suggestions are reviewed by our editorial team before being incorporated, and not every suggestion will necessarily be published or accepted.

False or Unsupported Correction Requests

A correction request may not be accepted in situations such as:

  • No reliable evidence is provided to support the claim
  • The claim contradicts an applicable official notification
  • The request is based only on personal opinion rather than a factual discrepancy
  • The information in question cannot reasonably be verified

In such cases, we will try to explain our reasoning to the reader wherever practical.

No Guarantee of Immediate Correction: Submitting a correction request does not guarantee that the information will be corrected immediately, or at all. Our editorial team may need time to verify the report against a reliable or official source before making any change, and we are not able to promise a fixed response time.

Candidates should always verify the latest official notification and application instructions before applying.

Deadlines, eligibility, fees, vacancies, stipend and application procedures may change after our content is published. Even while a correction request is under review, please rely on the relevant official source for any time-sensitive decision.
